This is the tea that I’m drinking this afternoon. I love Ceylon teas! You can find very very good Ceylons for oftentimes much less than an Assam of lesser quality. This tea has a sharp tinge to it and a nice woody body that goes well with a sunny Autumn afternoon. This month will be a Ceylon month for me, I think. For some reason, the aroma of an excellent Burnside Estate always reminds me of wood fires and the exquisite crunch of snow underfoot. This is a favorite of mine anytime really, and for those of you reading in a place where you don’t have to deal with the crunch of snow, don’t feel left out! Weather in Sri Lanka, the birthplace of Ceylon teas, appears to be rather rainy and quite warm this week. I challenge you to find any climate that dampens the pleasure of a great ceylon!
